Dr. Lars Rasmusson received a DMD 1990 at the University of Göteborg, Sweden. Before that he completed a 3,5 year course and service at the Naval College in Stockholm and is currently lieutenant in the Royal Swedish Naval Reserve. From 1995 to 2000, he accomplished the training program in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Sahlgrenska University hospital. He defended his thesis “On implant integration in membrane induced and grafted bone” at the Faculty of Medicine 1998. Dr. Rasmusson is currently professor and consultant maxillofacial surgeon at the Sahlgrenska Academy and hospital, Göteborg University. His clinical work is concentrated to orthognatic surgery and reconstructive implant surgery. Dr. Rasmusson is also responsible for the TMJ-surgery at the clinic. The scientific work is focused on healing and integration of bone grafts and computer guided surgery.
