David Schneider is an Assistant Professor at the Clinic for Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and Dental Material Science at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. After graduation and promotion (MD) in general medicine he has been working as a resident at the surgical and emergency unit. Having completed his studies in dental medicine in 2002, he has been working as a full-time associate in a private practice with focus on peridontology, implantology and prosthetic dentistry. Three years later, he started his postgraduate education at the Clinic for Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and Dental Material Science at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Since 2009 he holds the position of a senior lecturer and is in charge for the undergraduate student education. His main scientific activity is focused on computer-assisted implant dentistry as well as volumetric evaluation of GBR and soft tissue augmentation. His experience in the field of computer technologies in implantology was appreciated at the ITI Consensus Conference 2008 and the EAO Consensus Conference 2009. 

He has accomplished a number of scientific publications and has been a speaker at national and international congresses. He is member of the ITI, SSRD, EAED, SSO and VSAO. 

Besides undergraduate and postgraduate student education and research activities, his clinical expertise comprises the prosthetic rehabilitation of patients using tooth or implant retained fixed and removable restorations including the surgical procedures.
