Clinic for Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and Dental Material Science, Center for Dental and Oral Medicine and Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery, University of Zurich, Switzerland
Being a clinician and a researcher, her investigation interests in the field of dental materials science mainly focus on the development of new biomaterials as well as improving the durability and stability of dental materials used in prosthetic and restorative dentistry. Especially in the field of adhesive dentistry, she has performed substantial work on surface conditioning concepts and protocols applied on ceramics, polymers and metals. Current ongoing research areas concentrate on development of hydrolytically durable and biocompatible surface coatings, developing chemical agents for improving biodegradation of adhesive interfaces, optimizing testing conditions with better translational significance and implementing computerized simulation models in assessing material and restoration stability.
She has published more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific and clinical publications, is a frequent lecturer at scientific meetings, receiver of several international awards and has held numerous continuing education courses. She has also reviewing positions in several scientific journals.
